"I feel like I saw the future and I put one foot in it."

In a successful coaching relationship, you will be inspired to take steps and accomplish tasks and goals which have been difficult to achieve up to now.  Two factors are essential to a beneficial outcome.

First, the chemistry between you and the coach must feel right.  You want to be able to be honest and feel safe enough to be open and take some risks, in terms of trying some new behaviors.

Second, it is important that you are motivated and committed to the process.  This means making the time available in your life to follow up on the ideas and activities created during your coaching conversations.  It also means that you will be committed to keeping the appointments and that you are able to invest financially at whatever level you have agreed to.  Below are some questions to help you determine whether you feel ready to make the leap.  They will also help you get into the "coaching mindset."  Feel free to copy them into an email (susan.e.allen@verizon.net) if you would like to share them with Susan at Second Half Coaching.

If you could change one thing in your life right now, what would it be?

What feeds you, or gives you a feeling of good energy?

What drains you, or gives you a feeling of negative energy?

On a scale of 1 to 10, how motivated are you to making some changes?

On a scale of 1 to 10, how committed are you to staying on track with coaching?

Ranging from $50 to $500, how much are you able to invest each month toward making meaningful change?

What motivates you (deadlines, accountability, flexibility, teamwork, structure, rewards, positive feedback)?

What is fun for you?

What do you want more of?

Which area(s) of life are you hoping to enrich?  (Relationships with family or friends, career, health and fitness, spiritual growth, self-esteem, organization, or any others)
